Entrepreneurship:
Your New SuperPower

Students work through the meaning of "Solution-Oriented Mindset", and develop broad high-level understanding of Entrepreneurship as an empowering worldview. Students get a deeper look at the companies solving some of the greatest problems today, and participate in engaging activities that develop their skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and concept vetting.

Strategy Aim and Numbers game

Students learn to use the Business Model Canvas to develop a holistic strategic direction for their individual concepts. Fundamental capital management and financial literacy are emphasized. Classroom engagement activities include basic money management, budgeting, risk analysis, SWOT generation, and goal setting.

Lean Mean
Startup Machine

Workshop # 2 develops the critically important principles of MVP generation, customer development, pivoting, and using the scientific method. Classroom engagement activities focus on gathering robust data and creating feedback loops through customer development interviews and surveys to validate or invalidate a student's initial Startup Hypothesis.

Swimming with the sharks

This high-energy workshop is designed to systematically desensitize students to the fear of public speaking. Practicing and refining their pitch’s content and delivery, students pitch their concept nearly a dozen times in the session. Classroom engagement activities develop non-verbal communication, articulation, audience engagement, cognitive grit, role-playing, and salesmanship.

tESTIMONIALS

“Before your company’s workshops I was just a student who was good at things but had no clue what she wanted to do after high school. You all have exposed me to something I love doing and will hopefully excel at one day. You gave me advice on how to communicate to my team and skills that I know I can apply every day.”

CYMPHANI WESSON

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

"NSL not only enhances our Entrepreneurship Program but engages 100% of our students in the learning process.  The time taken into fast pitch preparation builds not only personal confidence but also takes their passion of creating a Business Plan to another level. Thankful to the NSL team!"

MANDY FERNANDEZ

TEACHER, AUGUSTUS HAWKINS HIGH SCHOOL

"NSL has been instrumental in helping our students prepare for our Fast Pitch and  Business Plan Competitions for over 5 years. The NSL peer-to-peer teaching model has inspired our students to boldly present before large audiences, which can be very challenging to many young people. NSL provides the perfect learning process for our students to share their ideas to make the planet a better place."

JOHN JACKSON

DIRECTOR, CENTER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP
CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, FULLERTON

“The NSL workshop was very fun because we were able to collaborate and participate. The facilitator had my attention every second of the presentation.”

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

"NSL has been the perfect addition to my class because the guest teachers have come in and inspired my students through active lessons that are exactly what my school administration wants to see. Students are using all of the 21st century skills that we are emphasizing. Over the past three years I have seen several students become transformed and decide to become entrepreneurs after participating in NSL."
